Wiring A Boiler To Mains

Will the 25 need to be a loop or can a single wire run straight from the cu to the boiler position.

Wiring a boiler to mains. Our boiler now has 120 v primary power going through a switch to a transformer supplying 24 v secondary power to the gas valve.
